Welcome to East Barnet Health Centre. This charter explains what you can expect from us and what we kindly ask of you in return.

Our Promise to You

  • Treat you with dignity, respect, and compassion.
  • Provide safe, high-quality medical care.
  • Keep your information private and confidential.
  • Offer appointments as soon as possible, based on medical need.
  • Provide urgent care when necessary.
  • Refer you to specialists when appropriate.
  • Listen to your concerns and feedback to improve our services.
 

Your Responsibilities as a Patient

  • Treat our staff and other patients with courtesy.
  • Attend appointments on time, or cancel if you can’t attend.
  • Give us accurate details about your health and medication.
  • Follow the advice and treatment plan agreed with your clinician.
  • Order repeat prescriptions in good time.
  • Use emergency and urgent services only when needed.
 

Appointments & Services

  • Appointments – Book by phone, online, or at reception.
  • Home Visits – For patients too unwell to come to the practice.
  • Out-of-Hours – Call NHS 111 (or local service) for urgent advice when we are closed.
  • Repeat Prescriptions – Request online, by phone, or in writing.
  • Test Results – We will contact you as soon as results are reviewed.
 

Confidentiality

Your records are kept secure and confidential in line with NHS and data protection laws (GDPR).

We welcome your suggestions and feedback. If you have a concern or complaint, please contact our Practice Manager at East Barnet Health Centre.

 

Zero Tolerance Policy

We will not accept abusive, aggressive, or violent behaviour towards staff or patients.
